Leather Care & Warranty

Warranty

All my creations are stripped down and rebuilt from the frame up, from older vintage and antique pieces, so they will show certain characteristics which are common in older furniture. This is a part of the appeal of what I create, each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind; therefore, I do not have a warranty, and all sales are final.

Thank you for your interest and understanding.

Caring for Your One-of-a-Kind Piece

Cleaning:

◦ Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust and dirt.

◦ For stains, use damp cloth with mild soap and dry immediately with a clean cloth.

◦ Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaners.

Conditioning:

◦ Apply a leather conditioner every 6-12 months to maintain suppleness and prevent cracking.

◦ Test any conditioner on a hidden area first.

Protection:

◦ Keep leather away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

 ◦ Avoid placing hot items directly on leather surfaces.

Hair on Hide Care

Understanding Molting:

◦ Hair on hide can (and usually will) molt and lose hair with use. This is a natural characteristic of the material.

◦ It is important to acknowledge that hair on hide is not recommended for use in the following areas due to a higher potential of molting:

▪ Seats

▪ Inside backs

▪ Inside wings and arms.

Cleaning:

◦ Wipe or vacuum to remove dust and debris.

◦ For stains, gently blot and wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing.

 Recommended Usage:

◦ Hair on hide is best suited for:

    ▪ Outside arms

    ▪ Outside wings

    ▪ Outside back
